bzarcherTonight was low key. Dave comes over, we introduce him to the joy of Perkins, and we decided to go to Best Buy to look for Dr. Who season 1 (or Season 27, depending how you look at it.)
They were sold out, but we go a raincheck. However, while walking through the store, I did find something neat.
You see, I've always loved the Master Replicas lightsabers...but I couldn't justify $120 on one. Even when they dropped to $80, it was pushing it.
So finding an Open Box, otherwise complete and unused Darth Vader MR lightsaber on the discount aisle was surprising, to say the least.
Finding out that it was only $39 was pretty much the dealmaker, especially when the CSR offered to let me put batteries in and start it up at the register, and he'd refund everything on the spot if it didn't.
It started up.
Now, a semi-restless night ahead of me - I never sleep that well on OD weekends because I'm too used to being awoken at least once or twice - but a pretty neat end to my day regardless.
