Onyx has made terrifying breakthroughs in Felinoid-Humanoid relations.

He has learned to drink from the shower.

It wouldn't be half as creepy if he hasn't been waiting in the bathroom, quivering with anticipation, every time I've woken up this week.

Perhaps he's simply trying to tell you that you need to put out more water dishes...

That's the odd thing - we have water dishes in the kitchen and basement that we fill in the morning, afternoon, and before bed. But he does this whenever Alex, Lisa, or I get in the bathrooms!

When I was still living with my mother and sister, I learned to leave the bathroom door just barely open. Otherwise, there would be a terrible racket as Aset clawed at the door. It was vitally important (to her) that she come in, jump on the side of the bathtub, dip a paw in, and then shake it off as if she'd touched something vile. Every time I took a bath.

I can only guess that the sound of the bathwater running sounded different from the sound of the shower, and somehow appealing.

heh. Yep. Lisa also says he tries to get to her hair dye when she tries to use the sink for that.

My cat rishi is like that, except with the sink. If he hears anyone head into the bathroom, he's immediately standing on the counter with his head under the faucet waiting for someone to wash their hands. Heaven forbid you leave the faucet on long enough to brush your teeth. You'll end up with a very wet, but happy, cat rubbing you. I've been half tempted to just make the faucet drip for him.
