Nov. 16th, 2006 11:39 amEveryone's posting crock pot recipies today, so here's one I'm using for dinner tomorrow.
Get a piece of pork shoulder or pork roast.
Put it (thawed) into the crock pot with 1 large onion, sliced up. (2 medium sized ones is fine too)
Pour about 1/2 bottle of Worcestershire sauce into the crock pot. (The recipie says 2 tablespoons, but a little extra helps.)
If you want to fancy it up, you can also add 1/2 cup of brown sugar, 1 and a half tablespoons of mustard, and a dash or two of liquid smoke.
Put the lid on the crock pot and cook on low for at least 12 hours.
Remove the pork from the crock pot, drain the water but save the onions.
Fork-shred the pork, removing any bones or fat. Put the pork and onions back into the pot and add a half bottle to bottle of your favorite BBQ sauce, and cook on low for one more hour.
Serve on hot buns or rice.
