bzarcherA discussion with Lisa last night brought up Fritz the Nite Owl, and the old Nite Owl Theatre.
I had an urge to look around, just to see if there was much about him online, and if he's doing much these days...and I found just that.
Delicious, delicious nostalgia.
I remember his shows, and that unforgettable voice.
I'm glad he's still getting to do his jazz show and enjoying himself, but I think TV lost something special when Nite Owl Theatre went off the air.
And hey, he's the only TV host I know who got a DC comics appearance based on his TV persona. (I'm so not kidding - The Power of Shazam!, issues 6,7,8.)
...I kinda want an icon of the old NOT logo, with the Owl and the 10TV broadcast tower, now, but I can't seem to find any evidence of it online....
