I was supposed to have this morning off, then come in the afternoon to work with the Ironport engineer, get the demo running, do about 4-5 hours of training, and back to weekending.

However, a cursory glance of my email has

-3 requests for immediate help from users
-2 requests from other techs at the helpdesk because they're swamped
-3 emails about the network turnups that they're supposed to be doing in the lab for the Ironport box, which apparently not being done right.
-4 requests for me to pull data from various places to help push some projects out the door ASAP.

So much for the morning off. Going to get a shower and fume into work.

And this after I pulled a 10 hour day to try to avoid this in the first place. ARGH.

Turn off the phone as well? Or put it into silent mode, then stick it on some towels so it doesn't make a vibrating-against-surface sound. :D

Sadly, my work phone is also my "emergency" pager, so if it goes off, I have to pay attention.
