So, we did go out to the movies, Lisa, Gary, Lucy, and I. I'd suggested the three movies I'm actually pretty interested in (Pan's Labyrinth, Last King of Scotland, and Smokin' Aces), and we settled on Pan's Labyrinth. (I suppose the other two will happen later. :D)
My god, it's beautiful, brilliantly directed, and pulls no punches whatsoever. By the end of it, I was totally drawn in, and was torn between "Wow, what a good movie" and "I need to hide somewhere and cry, please."
If you haven't seen it, I strongly reccomend that you do.

Date: 2007-02-05 09:41 pm (UTC)I've been to Gordon Biersch, over by the arena, for a lunch thing a couple years ago. Sadly, I had to drive, so I didn't get to try anything. (And there was the small matter of also having to work after lunch!)
Wouldn't mind going down there again and having fud.
