Mar. 24th, 2007 11:16 pmHmmm.
This weekend, so far, was spent Friday taking my sister out to dinner, seeing 300 (Go see it. It's a good waste of a few hours, especially if they happen to be showing it in IMAX), and catching up on things, and then 2 3 hour car rides with my parents, my uncle's 50th birthday party (a suprise for him that we actually pulled off rather well!) and catching up on things.
During this, my sister mentioned that one of the careers she's been thinking about was to work as a copy-proofer/editor, or maybe as a book reviewer/critic.
And that's when I thought Hey, I know people who do that for a living already.
If any of those on my friends list who work in the literary field would be willing to maybe talk to my sister over email, would you mind letting me know?
Yaaaaay!
In other news, I have birthday cake.
CAAAAAAAAAAAKE!

Copy editing (ie fixing mistakes before book goes to print) has always been a possible goal for me. Recently, as in the past few months, the idea of being an editor (person who reads stories/books, determines if they're good for print) has really grown on me. I believe that's been spurred on by all the great short stories I've been reading through a class.
