For the Fans.
Mar. 29th, 2007 11:33 pmMy last Jackets home game this season - sadly, ending in a loss, but the Jackets going 5-2-1 when I got to attend games this season is still pretty respectable.
We actually started this Troubleheader by Dave and I going to the Orioles / Nationals exhibition game at Cooper Stadium today, then over to Nationwide for the Jackets.
While we were there, we ended up meeting the guy who writes Army Of The Ohio, and chatted with him a couple times. Nice lad. Hopefully his plan of a "blogger dinner/drink" for the draft comes off. I'd like to go.
Dave made the point as I took a picture of this banner that it's a poor substitute for the team getting a post-season run or two, and I understand where he's coming from, but I do appreciate that especially in the last two seasons, the club seems to be responding to a lot of the fan concerns and criticism, and making a real effort to improve the on-ice product even as they try to put more into what they offer the fans and the city as a whole off of the ice.
