Eh. She was good in Runaway Bride, to the point of having the best line. ("You need somebody to stop you.")

And, hell, it's not a worse idea on paper than a washed up former teen singer.

Except for most of her performance in the episode until that point. And frankly, the woman grates. I watched her comedy relief piece she did with Tennant on YouTube, and I kept turning it off because her voice made me want to grind things into powder.

Oh, she's a dreadfully annoying comedian. And she spent most of Runaway Bride being, essentially, her comedian character.

I cannot imagine she'll remain that way for 13 episodes, however.
