There's something really neat when the first two things that happen to you at work are:
1) Being handed a piece of the secretary's birthday cake
2) Noting that one of the police officers got honorable mention for a Darwin award.
(If you haven't kept track of Northern Ohio news (and good for you!), one of our Wooster PD, in fact the chief, is currently in a great deal of trouble because he didn't understand what the safety on his guns was for. Shot himself and his car 3 times, and tried to fabricate a perp for it, but was eventually caught.)

Remember all the stuff I wrote earlier today about how today sucked?

Forget it. Today is a good day. I am happy.

Why?

Because on my way home from work, a girl who I have seen on campus, but never really met, came out of the dorm, waved, and said: "Hello!" And there wasn't anyone behind me. It was just to me.

I figure that if pretty girls I don't know can wave at me, say hello, and be excited...it's a good day no matter what else happened.

I know this is a totally Pisces thought, but...

I'm so sick and fucking tired of seeing people I care about have their lives turned to shit by people, including family members, who don't give a shit about hurting others. So. Fucking. Tired. Of. It.

Part of me, after listening to a friend in Toronto who is being badly emotionally abused BY HER OWN FUCKING MOTHER, wants to give in to a lot of the rage, and frustration, and sheer fucking strength I have inside, and do something about it. Something nice, and wet, and red. But I know that's not gonna do anything, especially since I don't even have a car. But still.

I haven't hit someone outside of sparring matches for.....5 years. I wish I could do it again. Really, really badly.
