Good news: I get a basement apartment in Overholt House, with a/c, cable, and broadband.

Bad news: It's a 2 bedroom apartment, with the other bedroom belonging to the library intern, a person I loathe almost as much as the current library intern.

Good news: The library intern says he may spend most of his time at his boyfriend's. (Note: I do not loathe said intern because he's gay. I loathe him because he's an arrogant fucking asshole.)

Bad news: I can't move in until at least 5/28.

Good news: I get to stay in my room in Andrews until then.

Not sure if the apartment will be furnished or not. We'll see.
Edit: Okay, it is furnished somewhat. I may provide some things. I keep thinking about an entertainment center for the TV, X-box, DVD, etx...for that matter, I keep thinking about a better TV, too.

Sold some of my duplicate textbooks at lunch (But not my extra copy of Snow Crash, [livejournal.com profile] mangokat, since I told you I'd sell it to you.) I am now $20 richer than when I woke up.

More importantly, a small package from Amazon.com arrived today, within which was a gift with great meaning from [livejournal.com profile] jwhorfin. Thank you.

(Even you didn't realize that the Transmet volume you got me was replacing one that disappeared during the chaos of sophomore year, and one that is, in fact, my favorite, because it is just that good of a beginning.)

I know that John (that I work for) means well, and that his constant needling about...everything...his jokes....his tendency to mock my current situation and his attempts to lighten the mood by not allowing me to work on problems that I can solve all by myself are all meant in the best ways.

I even put up with it without objection most days, and just let it roll off my shoulders.

But today I have low tolerance for it, and he's particularly close to getting punched in the jaw.

I don't know why my fuse is shorter than normal today, but it is, and he's been on me pretty much all day.

Not that smart a thing to do, considering his bad back, and that he's told me exactly where the compressed vertebrae are. And I do know how to aim a punch.

I won't. I'll even feel guilty about writing this later.

But there's a point in which one must vent steam, even if it's just to push someone out of your face.

Hokay. Calming down. Feeling better.

But I must make one note. When I am asked to expedite something today and to get things taken care of as fast as possible, and you don't bother to answer your phone, please do not get catty because I sent you two phonecalls and 1 email in the space of 3 hours. Fucker.

The director of housing is useless, as the above describes.

*grumble*

Oh. And instead of letting me stay in my hall, in my room, I get to move to one room, only to move to my apartment 2 weeks later.

*grumbledammitgrumble*
