Ok, wasn't expecting that.

One of the VPs is a perennial troublemaker - he tends to run his gear into, and then under, the ground. But he's a nice guy, and his EA is a really nice lady, and we usually find ways to fix it up and make it good.

Today, I had to wrestle with a wierd bug on his Blackberry for a couple hours, but got it all worked out in the end.

His EA came over to pick it up, and handed me an envelope with the words "Thank you" on it.

True, but I'm still shocked about this - usually that kinda appreciation's expressed in donuts in the morning or something. Nothing on this level.

(I suspect that the Sales department, who he is the VP of, has some season tickets that they give out as attaboys, and perhaps that's where these came from...)

Oh, undoubtedly. I don't think for a minute that he bought them specially as a reward, but that he had them lying around from the season ticket account that he uses as giveaways to clients and so on. He hadn't given them to a client yet and figured, "Hey, I'll toss IT a bone." Still, lucky you. :)
